Panoramic Care is working in partnership with Snowflake School to recruit their new Head Teacher.
With 2 separate sites situated in Earls Court and Acton, both within walking distance of underground stations, Snowflake School is an inclusive educational space for children with ASD. After opening its doors 15 years ago Snowflake School is now a co-educational, independent day school created specifically to provide unique, contemporary and enjoyable learning experiences for young people aged 5 – 16 years.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The school is split into two separate sites, the primary site being based in Earls Court educating 18 students with a primary diagnosis of ASD and the secondary site in Acton education 24 students also with a primary diagnosis of ASD. The school campus has recently undergone significant investment and now boasts a spacious and creative space for children to learn in, even being awarded for its design.
The school has in total 7 classes, 3 on the primary site and 4 on the secondary site, each with capacity for 6 children. Teaching at Snowflake school is guided by the science of applied behaviour analysis (ABA) including Skinners Analysis of Verbal Behaviour. Each pupil receives an individually devised programme based on a pupil centred, multi professional approach to learning, aimed at increasing communication and independence and delivered 1;1 by a trained ABA tutor.
THE ROLE
This is a rare chance for a pioneering headteacher to join an already ‘Outstanding’ school and pair with a supportive CEO to grow the school and make a difference in the lives of the children that attend.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successful leadership in an SEN setting and will be able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit with a can-do attitude. They will have in-depth knowledge of health and safety procedures, school inspection, curriculum and safeguarding.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Essential
Headteacher/ Deputy Head experience in an SEN setting
Knowledge of health and safety procedures, school inspection, curriculum and safeguarding.
Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams
THE INTERVIEW PROCESS
The interview process will be 2 stages – Including a visit to the school, Competency based interview and meet the CEO.
