Job Title: Interim HR Manager - West Midlands

Duration: Immediate Start until February 2024

Location: West Midlands

Salary: Competitive Day Rate

We are seeking an Interim HR Manager to oversee the HR responsibilities for a school trust and oversee the HR in four of their schools in the West Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in the education sector and play a key role in ensuring that the schools have the support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transactional HR Management: Take charge of all transactional HR responsibilities for the school trust, including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and policy implementation.

  • Strategic HR Oversight: Provide strategic guidance and advice to school leaders, ensuring HR practices align with the school trust's mission and values.

  • Policy and Compliance: Stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations, and ensure that the school trust is in full compliance. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.

  • Employee Engagement: Foster a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement initiatives, supporting staff well-being, and resolving employee issues effectively.

  • Data Management: Maintain accurate HR records and utilise data for reporting, decision-making, and identifying trends.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership and other stakeholders to address HR needs, offer guidance, and contribute to the overall success of the schools within the trust.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in HR management, preferably within the education sector.

  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent HR-related qualifications.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.

  • Immediate availability
  • Experience with HR software and systems.
