Our client is looking for an experienced Clinical Services Manager to direct and motivate the clinical team as well as support the Hospital / Regional Director in the day to day running, management and development of the hospital in London.
Key roles and responsibilities will include:
·Promote a cost effective, patient focused quality service for the continuing success of the hospital
·Lead and implement the hospital's clinical strategy.
·Deputise for the Hospital Director in their absence.
·Set and maintain clinical practice standards within the hospitals Governance and Regulatory framework
·Develop a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security.
·Develop strategies and policies for service improvement in collaboration with Hospital Director and Patient Services Manager.
·To maintain an out of hours clinical emergency service for quality standards and continuity of care.
·To be responsible for co-ordination of monthly clinical team meeting, daily communication huddles, and weekly planning meeting
·Maintain quality to agreed standards within the operating model.
·To manage the clinical environment and co-ordinate the safe delivery of care, providing hands on clinical care to patients as and when required.
·Promote and influence a culture that actively supports safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children.
·Work in partnership with the Hospital Director, Patient Services Manager and consultants to achieve Annual Operating Plan delivering the hospital clinical strategy.
·Act as Lead Nurse for safeguarding.
This area is all about having all the technical/ specialist skills to perform the job effectively. You will need to be a:
·Registered Nurse (NMC) with scrub skills
·Teaching Qualification e.g. 998 or mentorship
·Minimum Band 8a Nursing level
·Laser Safety Certificate (preferred, not essential)
·Strong IT skills i.e. good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
·Excellent understanding of CQC regulations and National Minimum Standards.Experience of making CQC submissions for new hospitals and/or CQC inspections preferred
·Knowledge of policies and procedures in line with National Care Standards
