As a member of the Leadership Team your role is to develop and support the clinical professionals and the care teams within the organisation. You will need to research and report on clinical issues impacting on the services.
You will need to be a Registered General Nurse with an active Pin and have previous experience of working at Executive level within health and social care ideally in a nursing home or social care setting with older people, people with learning disabilities and/or people living with dementia.
You will also need a proven track record of nursing, e.g. catethrisation, wound prevention, pain management, end of life care and specialist care for older people, e.g. dementia nursing.
Excellent understanding of Clinical and Corporate Governance, experience of implementation of organisational integrated Governance framework, professional and clinical supervision framework and leading key Governance Committees.
Demonstrable experience of implementing and undertaking clinical audits, the development of quality assurance systems and the ability to write and implement clinical focused policies and reports. You will be responsible for supporting and developing clinical governance.
Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to successfully work with a high level of initiative and confident decision making.
Proven ability to manage, lead, motivate and empower clinicians and care teams in developing services, delivering high standards of care for the people the organisation supports.
You will be working with several services so regional travel is required
